| Masteriesīs BT-7 russian light tank finished!2148 triangles 1458 verts One of our highest detailed vehicle. Great texture. I will send the model and his texture to the repository in a few hours; it can be ingame quickly. Coming soon: Sdkfz 251 (german transport vehicle), stug-3 ausf G (code ready, only lacks model; is a german medium vehicle comparable to our T-34-85, yes germans will have panzer 4 ausf D and stug 3 like medium tanks), IS-2 (russian heavy tank comparable with Tiger). When these models are ready, our mod will have all planned vehicles.

| nice! and great, but how many tanks are we going to have? a map shouldnt have more then one or two tanks in, or els it would be silly imagin 20 soldiers and 5 tanks on each team, thats just silly, 1 tank for 20 soldiers is better imo. nice tank again. |

| Donīt worry Tyrlop, in a map only will have a few of these... but a huge variety...hehe The planning is the following: (according to internal code of our mod) Heavy assault class: IS-2 (R) Tiger I (G) Heavy class: KV-1 (R) JagPanther(the old tank in ET) (G) Medium class: T-34/85 (R) Panzer IV-D and Stug3-G (G) Light class: BT-7 (R) Panzer II (G) Flametank: ?? (R) (captured german ones?) Probably Hetzelflam (G) Transport: M3 (R) sdkfz 251(G) (R) means Russian; (G) means German. Also I am trying to fix the bug with tank cannon (instant death related) and later code diff tank cannons damage. |

| but our current maps got from 4 to 10 tanks in each one, like fueldump, there is one tank at allied spawn, then one at near the bridge, then another near the hut with the command post, then another one near the big gate, then another two in the garage bunker thing, then another one or two in axis fortress. thats quite alot, there should only be two imo. EF is not only a tank mode, and imo only few maps should have tanks and those few should also have few tanks. btw i cant wait to we get so many players can sit in one tank/vehicle. |

| Also we need to fix another thing, the respawning time of tanks, actually it delay about 1 second... a decent time like battlefield 1942 is better for gameplay or a restricted (configurable by menu) number of respawnings. A tank is a strategic key, one of most valuables things; but with actual respawning time they appears like an infinite nightmare. There is work to do... hehe.

| why should you play fueldump on our mod??? it doesn't fit for the mod and the gameplay types. btw aren't you also going to do a reskinning of Jaghdpanter? pytox |

| Need to keep in mind we can support 64 players and 256 npcs. When you consider that, the ratio is not that bad. Also on fueldump 2 of the vehicles are APCs, not tanks. On stalingrad there is 2 tanks for each team, 1 light and 1 flame. They fill different roles. All maps follow those same criteria. | Quote: | Heavy assault class: IS-2 (R) Tiger I (G) Heavy class: KV-1 (R) JagPanther(the old tank in ET) (G) Medium class: T-34/85 (R) Panzer IV-D and Stug3-G (G) Light class: BT-7 (R) Panzer II (G) Flametank: ?? Hmm 3 mediums, we cant have 3, it needs to be 2 for each class. Don't tell me we need a medium assault class hehe |

| We can add a small fix to the code, while the game goes to spawn a german medium tank: unsigned char random_german_medium; .... .... .... random_german_medium=rand(0,1); if(random_german_medium) { panzeriv_spawn(); } else { stug3_spawn(); } |

u know whats scary? i understand all of that. the ET codes are easy to understand, i got the et source codes, and its relatively easy to understand. i just need the right program to decompile/compile them
i think C is it,
imma look thru the codes some more, its easy though, meh |

| Donīt be too sure Covert; there are more easy to understand game codes (C+SDL games are easier to do for example), the code that I wrote here is only an example, really is more longer and complex. You need at least visual studio 2005 to load and compile the ET:EF source code. Decompile isnīt not posible, unless you are and assembly master... hehe |

| [off topic]It is possible to decompile, but extremely painful. Everything is simply a mess.[/off topic] |
